Whitley, UK, Monday, 14 October 2024 – JLR (UK) is bolstering support of its retail network in delivering a luxury, customer‑centric experience, with the appointment of new Sales Director, Angela Shepherd. Angela and her team will drive JLR’s sales operation as part of its UK retail transformation, announced earlier this year.

Bringing together various teams across the sales function, including volume planning; new and used cars; and Fleet and Business, the cohesive sales team will focus on working even more closely with JLR’s retail partners to maximise performance and refine the client purchase journey.

As part of the ongoing evolution of JLR’s unique retail model ‑ a blend of key attributes from both franchise and Agency automotive retail models ‑ Angela and her team will ensure sales systems are simplified and shaped to benefit retailers, their operations and ways of working. The streamlining of processes will enable retailers to focus more of their time on delivering a seamless experience for clients.

Having been in automotive and retailer roles throughout my career, I’m passionate about building a strong, symbiotic relationship with the network to provide the highest standards, reflective of the luxury sector.

Fundamental to this, is understanding the tools retailers need to deliver consistent experiences for clients. Together, we will deliver this significant retail transformation, which places our exceptional brands and our clients at the heart of it.

Angela Shepherd
Sales Director, JLR (UK)

Angela has worked in the automotive sector for 34 years, joining Mercedes‑Benz UK as a graduate trainee. She has been a senior leader in the premium automotive sector since 2003 and has worked across all key operational sales and marketing functions, leading many transformation projects in both network development and after sales. Prior to joining JLR, Angela gained direct retail experience as Chief Executive Officer for Mercedes‑Benz Retail Group, as well as at Stellantis’s own retail group Stellantis & You. Bringing a wealth of retailer experience, most recently executing agency models elsewhere in the industry, Angela and her team will drive JLR’s evolution to a hybrid model: elevating a traditional franchise model to deliver a client‑centric retail experience.

Angela joins UK Managing Director, Patrick McGillycuddy’s executive team alongside recently appointed UK Customer Experience Director, Costa Delis. Together, they will advance the in‑person and digital transformation of JLR’s UK client experience: NEW DIRECTOR, NEW TEAM: JLR FOCUSES ON UK CLIENT EXPERIENCE | Land Rover Media Newsroom
