IN DETAIL

(Whitley, Coventry ‑ 09 December 2013). Jaguar Heritage Racing collects another trophy this month with the World Luxury Award Gold prize awarded to the team behind the global television and online coverage of the company's inaugural heritage racing season in 2012.

The World Luxury Awards, held in Monte Carlo, announced the winners of the biggest award for creativity in the global luxury sector, recognising the very best work of marketing, advertising, design, public relations and multimedia in the industry.   Jaguar Heritage Racing reigned victorious against stiff competition in the Cars & Yachts awards category, beating shortlisted Porsche and Riva to the coveted Gold prize.

At the heart of the Jaguar Heritage Racing dedicated website from CNN are a series of evocative films that capture the unique emotion around Jaguar in historic motorsport.  The films include Mille Miglia ‑ "Fear and Exhilaration: The Drivers' Story"; the Nürburgring ‑ "Green Hell: The Drivers' Story", "Proving Ground for Performance"; and Goodwood Revival ‑ "Historic Winning Streak Continues" and "Jaguar: The Design Legacy".  The films also appeared alongside frequent reports and results from the Jaguar Heritage Racing events across the CNN global network, which is viewed in more than 255 million households and hotel rooms across the world, while CNN.com where the dedicated website is hosted, receives over a billion page views per month.

Overall, ten First Prize World Luxury Award Golden Trophies were presented in Monte Carlo to entrants from 16 countries, with the Jaguar Heritage Racing coverage on CNN International, brokered by long‑standing Jaguar public relations agency Influence Associates, recognised for its website and broadcast creativity.   The Awards celebrate the contribution that innovative creative work makes to building luxury brands.

Jaguar Global PR Director, Richard Agnew, said:  "Jaguar Heritage Racing is no stranger to awards and trophies, following two very successful seasons participating in classic car gatherings all over the world, and the World Luxury Award Gold Trophy is a fitting end to 2013.  We are flattered to be sharing the podium with contemporaries and true icons of the global luxury sector such as Hermès, Maserati, Mont Blanc, Moët et Chandon and others, and delighted that our partnership with CNN International has been recognised for its coverage and creative treatment of our inaugural heritage racing season."

Jaguar Heritage Racing is gearing up for another exciting season in 2014, and is looking ahead to defending its titles at the AvD Oltimer Grand Prix and the Goodwood Revival.  The legendary Mille Miglia is a regular highlight in the Jaguar Heritage Racing calendar, with previous drivers including Sir Stirling Moss, Andy Wallace, Sir Chris Hoy, Daniel Day Lewis, Yasmin Le Bon and David Gandy to name a few, the Jaguar team is busy curating the car and driver selection for 2014's 1,000 mile tour.

The Jaguar Heritage Racing programme is supported by JD Classics, based in Maldon, Essex.   An established player in the historic motorsport world, JD Classics prepares historic Jaguar sports cars for racing, and is also responsible for technical support.  To discover more about Jaguar Heritage Racing and view the CNN films, visithttp://advertisementfeature.cnn.com/jaguar/jhr.
