Jaguar has an immaculate reputation of producing luxury cars, and today I spent some time with the F-TYPE SVR. What can I say, it’s a beautiful car. It’s quick (0-60 in 3.5 seconds), it sounds great, it’s incredibly comfortable and it has a 5.0 litre V8 supercharged engine at it’s heart. What more can you want from a sports car? For it to look sexy as hell? The F-TYPE SVR ticks all the boxes.

The first thing I noticed about the Jaguar F-TYPE SVR is the attention to detail, including the quilted performance seats that add to the luxurious theme of the car. The second thing to notice is the sound it makes. Any car fanatic understands how amazing an exhaust crackle can sound, and the SVR certainly delivers. It sounds awesome.
To say this car is comfortable would be the biggest understatement of the year. It’s the sort of sports car you can take to the supermarket, and turn every head on the way. It is certainly an acceptable every day car (granted, a top speed of 200 mph is a bit extreme for a trip to Waitrose) but still looks like something you only bring out once a year. It’s the perfect combination. The F-TYPE SVR convertible is absolutely on my wish list. I honestly think it’s an excellent car. Well done Jaguar!
