(MAHWAH, NJ) ‑ May 6, 2014 ‑ Wallpaper* Handmade, the groundbreaking exhibition dedicated to the marriage of craftsmanship and design, and inspired by renowned British car manufacturer, Jaguar, will make its way to New York City for the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF). Fresh from Milan's Salone del Mobile, the exhibit will celebrate several newly commissioned design pieces in collaboration with Jaguar. The exhibition, running May 16‑31, will be held at 345 Meatpacking in New York's Meatpacking District.

As one of the most design savvy companies in its category, Jaguar has chosen platforms like Design Week and ICFF to showcase its innovative and original approach to the development of its product line‑up. Jaguar will display the F‑TYPE Coupe at the Wallpaper* Handmade exhibit and feature a cut‑away version of the brand's two‑seat sports coupe. The new all‑aluminum F‑TYPE Coupe, arriving at retailers this month, represents the pinnacle of the F‑TYPE range, delivering not only exhilarating performance, but also tremendous efficiency. The F‑TYPE is not the first Jaguar vehicle range with an esteemed design aesthetic as the iconic Jaguar E‑Type roadster currently sits in the Museum of Modern Art's permanent design collection as one of only two vehicles.

"The Wallpaper* Handmade with Jaguar exhibit is a great opportunity for Jaguar to express how our designers surpasses expectations to create vehicles with the most intricate and advanced design elements that easily rival other luxury vehicles on the market," said Jeff Curry, Brand Vice President, Jaguar North America. "This partnership with Wallpaper* taps into an art‑savvy audience to present the new F‑TYPE Coupe and C‑X17, exhibited appropriately alongside some of the most unique pieces, which have all been inspired by Jaguar's modern design language."

For the exhibit, Wallpaper has commissioned an exclusive, new work from local Brooklyn, N.Y., architects Snarkitecture, inspired by Jaguar design. The exhibit will also introduce six new collaborations at the exhibition between Jaguar and designers Fredrikson Stallard, Moritz Waldemeyer, Mathieu Gustafsson, architects Neri & Hu and Vincenzo De Cotiis, and marble specialist Salvatori. The six new concept products, each commissioned by Wallpaper*, represent an avant‑garde take on Jaguar's contemporary design, creativity and technology.

Wallpaper* Handmade will also feature a specially made cut‑away version of the F‑TYPE Coupe, which showcases its lightweight and strong aluminum structure and provides the opportunity to view performance technology under its skin. Additionally, there will be new works by several US artists, all commissioned by Wallpaper* editors. These works include glow‑in‑the‑dark wallpaper by Haas Brothers with Flavor Paper, a cork jacket by Todd Bracher, a lighting piece by Mary Wallis and Suzanne Tick, a 'Tablet Book' by Paul Loebach with Logitech and glass‑blown sex toys by Jeff Zimmermann and Wallpaper* US editor Michael Reynolds amongst others.

Now in its fifth year, Handmade is traditionally hosted by Wallpaper* magazine during Milan Design Week in April. Acting as patron, client and creative director, Wallpaper* commissions designers, artists, craftsmen, makers, brands and manufacturers to create unique and one‑off items of furniture, fittings, fashion and more.  Following its stopover in London last year, in collaboration with Jaguar, where the exhibition was displayed across 12 of the world‑famous Brompton Road windows of luxury department store Harrods, and in Miami for Art Basel in December, Wallpaper* has again teamed up with Jaguar to present a curated selection of the best Handmade pieces from the past five years.
