(MIAMI, FL) ‑ December 2, 2013 ‑ Wallpaper* Handmade, the groundbreaking exhibition dedicated to the marriage of craftsmanship and design, and inspired by Jaguar, will make its U.S. debut during Miami Art Week's Design Miami. The exhibit will feature several newly commissioned design pieces in collaboration with renowned British car manufacturer, Jaguar. Running December 4 ‑ 8, the exhibition will be held in the iconic building that welcomes visitors to Miami's Design District at 3841 NE 2nd Avenue.

Jaguar, experiencing unprecedented growth in the United States on the appeal of new models like the Jaguar F‑TYPE, is making its first appearance in Miami during the Design Miami events.  In light of the unique concentration of design savvy consumers in Miami during this week, Jaguar will display an array of stunning models:  its highly acclaimed F‑TYPE Convertible, an all‑new, two‑seater sports car; the new F‑TYPE Coupe, fresh off its November debut at the LA Auto Show; and the stunning C‑X17 sports crossover concept vehicle.

"This partnership with Wallpaper* is an exciting opportunity to showcase the advanced designs of our brand among an audience of tastemakers who appreciate and are enthusiastic about art, culture and design," said Jeff Curry, Brand Vice President, Jaguar North America. "Moreover, it provides an opportunity to illustrate how Jaguar is challenging the conventions of design in the luxury car market, as we display our brand‑new F‑TYPE Coupe ‑‑ its first public reveal since last month's L.A. Auto Show ‑‑ as well as the dynamic C‑X17 sports crossover concept."

Now in its fourth year, Handmade is traditionally hosted by Wallpaper* magazine during Milan Design Week in April. Acting as patron, client and creative director, Wallpaper* commissions designers, artists, craftsmen, makers, brands and manufacturers to create unique and one‑off items of furniture, fittings, fashion and more.  Following its recent stopover in London, where the exhibition was displayed across 12 of the world‑famous Brompton Road windows of luxury department store Harrods, Wallpaper* has again teamed up with Jaguar to present a curated selection of the best Handmade pieces from the past four years for the U.S. debut.

Jaguar unveiled the long‑awaited and most dynamically capable, performance‑focused road car in its history, the F‑TYPE Coupe, at the L.A. Auto Show on November 20. It builds on the design of the stunning C‑X16 concept sports coupe and the F‑TYPE Convertible, which won the 2013 World Car Design of the Year award. The new all‑aluminum F‑TYPE Coupe represents the pinnacle of the F‑TYPE range, delivering not only exhilarating performance, but also tremendous efficiency.

While in London, the exhibition also featured Jaguar's C‑X17, making its UK debut after its global launch in September.  Jaguar's much talked about first‑ever sports crossover concept was built as a design study to articulate Jaguar's revolutionary new all‑aluminum modular vehicle architecture. The C‑X17 blends sporting character with enhanced flexibility, while staying true to Jaguar design and philosophy.

As one of the most design literate brands in the industry, Jaguar has chosen platforms like Design Miami to showcase its innovative and original approach to the automotive sphere. Miami Art Week exists as a diverse cultural center in the heart of downtown Miami, creating one of the largest gatherings in the design world through a variety of events, fairs and activations such as Art Miami, Design Miami and Art Basel. Through these various programs, Jaguar has the opportunity to listen and engage invaluable perspectives from leading minds in the industry. More than 70 works from some of the world's leading designers, artists and brands, all previously commissioned by Wallpaper* editors for the exhibition, will be on display. Works include collaborations with brands such as Brioni, Karl Lagerfeld and Bottega Veneta and designers such as BarberOsgerby, Konstantin Grcic, Johanna Grawunder and Snarkitecture.

Wallpaper* Handmade will also exclusively introduce five new collaborations between Jaguar and designers Fredrikson Stallard, Moritz Waldemeyer, Mathieu Gustafsson, architects Neri & Hu and marble specialist Salvatori. The five new concept products commissioned by Wallpaper* especially for the exhibition each represent an avant‑garde take on Jaguar's contemporary design, creativity and technology.
