Jaguar and its JaguarRSR team are back on the track competing in
the 59th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in Florida on March 19,
2011. Serving as the opening round for the 2011 American Le Mans
Series, the team led by Paul Gentilozzi will be campaigning two
updated JaguarRSR XKR GT racers ‑ plus a star‑studded line‑up of
new drivers.
RSR has pulled together a world‑class line‑up of drivers. In the
#99 car, Paul Gentilozzi is teaming‑up open‑wheel stars Bruno
Junqueira, Cristiano Da Matta and Oriol Servià. In the #98 XKR GT,
he has IMSA GT racer PJ Jones, together with karting ace Rocky
Moran Jr. and 2009 Grand‑Am Koni Challenge GS champion Kenny
Wilden.
Each driver, holding extensive racing resumes, look forward to a
competitive sophomore season for the Jaguar program building on the
changes and developments that JaguarRSR has made to their
program.
"With the addition of a second Jaguar XKR GT and six world class
drivers to the team combined with the developments made in the off
season, we look forward to a strong and exciting return to the
track for 2011," says Gary Temple, President, Jaguar Land Rover
North America.
The JaguarRSR XKR GT racers will not be the only Jaguars on track
at Sebring. The field for the 59th Annual Twelve Hours of Sebring
will be paced by a production based XKR, as Jaguar also serves as
the Official Car of Sebring International Raceway.
