The Jaguar XF has once again emerged as the top luxury car in the annual Auto Express Driver Power survey.

The Jaguar XF has once again emerged as the top luxury car in the annual Auto Express Driver Power survey.  Placed a credible third overall in the Driver Power Top 100, the XF proved popular among owners through its mix of reliability, performance and refinement backed up by efficient dealer support.

The survey, contributed to by over 23,000 Auto Express readers, is regarded as one of the most comprehensive of its kind and summarises the ownership experience of cars of all makes.

Graham Hope, Acting Editor of Auto Express said: 'The XF's enduring popularity is testament to what a superb car it is.  It has now finished in the top three in Driver Power for three years in a row ‑ a fantastic achievement that really sets the standard for luxury cars.'

The XF was unveiled in September 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show before the first customer deliveries took place in the UK in March 2008.  Since then it's enjoyed sustained popularity among UK buyers with 12,687 examples being sold in 2010.

Commenting on the results, Geoff Cousins, Managing Director, Jaguar UK, said: 'This survey, contributed to by our customers, is a tremendous demonstration of the engineering integrity and reliability of the XF as well as the levels of satisfaction felt in the overall ownership experience and our dealers.  I'm very proud that the XF continues to perform so strongly against tough competition.'

The XF range has benefitted from relentless development since launch with the introduction of a pair of new 3.0‑litre V6 diesel engines as well as the flagship XFR powered by a 5.0‑litre V8 engine developing 510 PS.  This evolution is set to continue shortly with the launch of a range of enhancements including a new 2.2‑litre diesel engine that promises to deliver the refinement and performance expected of a Jaguar yet is capable of delivering over 50 mpg and a range in excess of 800‑miles.
