(MAHWAH, N.J.) ‑ March 6, 2014 ‑ Jaguar North America has been recognized as a 2014 Customer Champion, one of only 50 companies across the U.S. to earn this honor by J.D. Power, in conjunction with FORTUNE Custom Publishing.

To be honored with this distinction, companies must demonstrate the ability to provide the highest level of customer service based on their most important critics‑their customers. The J.D. Power 2014 Customer Champions were selected based on customer feedback attesting to their service excellence. These companies were the highest performers among more than 600 evaluated brands across nine industries, based on their performance in five key areas identified as the J.D. Power 5 Ps: People, Presentation, Price, Process and Product.

Last year, Jaguar received the highest ranking among luxury nameplates in J.D. Power Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study.

The selection of the 2014 Customer Champions is based on an independent and unbiased evaluation of customer feedback, opinions and perceptions gathered from J.D. Power studies conducted in the United States in 2013. Those recognized as a 2014 Customer Champion represent the highest‑performing companies in terms of providing customer service excellence.

Globally, 2013 proved a record breaking year for Jaguar's award winning model lineup. Jaguar recorded a 42% year on year increase in sales, selling 76,668 vehicles in 2013 ‑ its strongest full year sales performance since 2005 with new records set in 17 markets including, Brazil, India, Russia and China. The iconic British motoring marque also emerged as the fastest growing major premium brand in the U.S., Germany and India in 2013.  The XJ also delivered its best full year performance for 10 years with 19,677 vehicle sales, with particular strong demand from North America and China thanks to the introduction of All‑Wheel Drive, and an enhanced engine line up which includes the 3.0 V6 and 2.0 4‑cylinder engines.
