21 DECEMBER 2012 ‑ Jaguar is helping injured and recovering members of the British Armed Forces to travel home in time for Christmas, thanks to a fleet of new XF Sportbrake models.

The personnel are being treated at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) at Headley Court in Surrey, and all are being given a heroes' welcome with a special chauffeur driven delivery to their friends and families.

Headley Court is a specialist, multi‑purpose facility that provides rehabilitation and care for severely injured servicemen and women, including poly‑trauma amputees.

The fleet of around 20 XF Sportbrake models will travel to locations across the UK, including as far as Inverness, to return the troops to their loved ones.

"I would like to thank everyone at Jaguar Cars for giving our patients the opportunity to travel home and start their well earned Christmas break in such a stylish and special fashion," said Commanding Officer Group Captain C S Walton. "I am truly inspired by the many generous gifts and offers given to our patients at Christmas time."

Jeremy Hicks, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover UK said: "We are extremely proud to provide our vehicles and drivers to benefit our service men and women by helping them get home for Christmas. We are pleased to be supporting an exceptional rehabilitation centre that offers an immeasurable service to the MoD."

As the most versatile derivative in the award‑winning XF range, the practical yet elegant Jaguar XF Sportbrake is the perfect vehicle for the job. Powered by a range of refined diesel engines, all featuring Intelligent Stop‑Start and twinned with an eight‑speed transmission, it offers smooth, efficient performance.

As a full five‑seater with rear air suspension and an additional 48mm of rear headroom, the XF Sportbrake ensures passengers enjoy interior luxury and, with a load‑space capacity of up to 1,675 litres, it can easily accommodate all their families' Christmas presents and more.
